Challenge
It’s estimated that more than 10 million Americans suffer from severe obesity. The George Washington University Hospital has a dedicated bariatric unit for patients that undergo surgical weight loss procedures. GW wanted to communicate key marketing points to the consumer about their bariatric program, such as GW performed more gastric bypass procedures in the previous year than any other hospital in Washington, DC. And the American Society for Bariatric Surgery recognizes GW Hospital as a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery.
Results
The spot is currently airing in the DC metro area as well as Virginia and Maryland. It is capturing positive feedback and measurable results. Most recently, the :30 spot won a 2012 Silver International Davey Award.
