Contrast Creative was contracted by The Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET), which is the not-for-profit research and educational affiliate of the American Hospital Association (AHA), and the Agency for Healthcare and Research Quality (AHRQ) to develop a comprehensive unit-based safety (CUSP) toolkit.
“We’ve been very pleased with the results. Contrast was responsible for creating the logo and the design aesthetic as well as scripting and producing a series of video vignettes for the project, “ says Gabriela Garcia, HRET Program Manager. Despite the differences presented by these separate formats, Contrast’s team of design and video production experts ensured that each part of the toolkit formed a piece of a cohesive whole.”
“The CUSP toolkit aims to reduce central line associated blood stream infections in hospitals nation-wide,” explains Contrast’s Creative Director Kathleen McDonald. A “central line” is a tube that enters a large blood vessel close to the heart and is used to deliver medications or fluids or to monitor vital signs.
“We’re hopeful that the creative elements our team developed and produced for the toolkit will play a key role in decreasing the infection rates. There’s nothing we, as a team, value more than our creative work making a difference,” adds McDonald.
“Working with Contrast Creative over this past year has been a gratifying experience. They have the technical expertise and experience to develop an effective product, as well as the communication skills and collaborative spirit to fully meet their clients’ particular needs,” says Garcia.
Contrast Creative is continuing our partnership with HRET and AHRQ on a CUSP Expansion project that will build upon the vital effort to positively impact patient safety in our nation’s hospitals.
