Before inquiring about renting our custom built, sound-resistant studio location, think through your project to the end result. This will help you attain the most accurate quote. Some questions to consider are:
- What is my budget?
- Am I shooting still photography, video with audio or just video?
- Do I need a clean white cyclorama wall or a green screen?
- Am I bringing my own backdrop or set?
- Do I have my own lighting and camera equipment, or will I need to rent some?
Do I have my own production staff including a casting director, craft services and a full crew, or do I hope to use some of Contrast Creative’s production staff?- Will I need Contrast Creative’s post-production facilities or staff including their editors and edit suite or voice-over/audio suite?
- What is my timeline and how long do I need the studio for?
If you identify your needs before calling, we can have a much more productive conversation and give you the information you need in an efficient manner. Your project will be on its way to completion that much sooner!
There are a lot of components that are factored into a studio rental. Fortunately, Contrast Creative can provide them to you.
Many of them are included in our basic studio rental fee and are an intrinsic part of our state-of-the-art facility.
Separate, private entrance and parking with 12-foot double roll-up doors for sound control and vehicle access- Independent access to our studio
- 24 x 30’ hard cyclorama wall with green screen or custom painted capabilities
- 17-foot high lighting grid
- 14-foot ladder
- Fully equipped kitchenette to host craft services
- Complete climate controlled environment
- Private bathrooms
- Private makeup and wardrobe room
- High Speed Internet access
- Eight foot table and chairs for your client needs
Studio Rental Fees
Basic studio rental fees will vary, but most studios will require full payment or a significant deposit when booking their space. Contrast Creative is no different. Our studio is rented in half and full day increments, and our 2013 rates are as follows:
$700 | Full day rate (includes up to 10 hours)
$500 | Half day rate (includes up to 5 hours)
$500 | Pre-light set-up with full access to Studio (but no shooting)
$500 | Green screen painting on one wall, floor to ceiling
$150 | Green backdrop (if Contrast sets up)
$100 | Green backdrop Rental (with own set-up)
$105/hr | Overtime (over 10 hours) is charged at 1.5 times the hourly rate
Once you decide on a date and exactly what production space, crew and additional gear you need from Contrast, a studio agreement will be issued and must be signed and returned to us with your deposit. We also require a certificate of insurance confirming workers compensation insurance coverage and comprehensive general liability insurance.
Production requires a lot of details to fall into place. If you need to alter or cancel your studio rental, our cancellation or “kill fees” are as follows:
Cancellation more than 72 hours (3 + business days) before production: No Charge
Cancellation less than 72 hours (3 business days) before production: 25% of total rental
Cancellation less than 48 hours (2 + business days) before production: 50% of total rental
Cancellation less than 24 hours (1 + business day) before production: 100% of total rental
*Note that ALL prep work is billed at 100% regardless of timing of the cancellation.
Once your deposit is paid and your paperwork turned in, you have successfully rented the Contrast Creative studio. If your production needs additional space beyond this, we can help. Contrast has a second kitchen, a large conference room and lobby/holding area that can also be rented for an additional fee.
